PURCHASING/VENDOR MANAGER
Position Profile
This position is primarily responsible for supervising day-to-day Vendor Management/Purchasing functions within operations across all product categories to meet or exceed established customer service levels and inventory investment targets while maximizing gross profits.
Essential Job Function/Responsibilities
1. Manage the company's day-to-day purchasing activities for replenishment inventory across 2. Optimize inventory investment across locations to meet or exceed established customer service levels while minimizing overstock and slow moving inventory.
5. Support efforts of all product categories relative to purchasing activity, to include, but not limited to: new products/vendors launches, promotional opportunities, bid roll, and brand to generic transition.
6. Provide input and direction for enhancing current purchasing systems, parameters, and processes to improve overall department performance toward key performance indicators.
7. Collaborate with Corporate IT to employ a vendor management tracking system that will provide reporting and analysis. Summarize information and trends and propose recommendations.
8. Prepare detailed reports for analysis of purchasing activity to identify root causes of issues and implement control processes.
9. Other tasks and projects as assigned.

Education/Experience
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum five (5) years of experience in purchasing and inventory management (pharmaceuticals, Retail goods preferred).
Previous supervisory and management experience and knowledge with proven leadership abilities.

$60-$70k
